Ask A Question

Below is a list of the most common questions that arise when we rent our yacht If you do not find the answer to your question here, it is not a problem, we are at your disposal to answer all your questions.

What provisions do the yacht come with?

Food and beverages are not included, unless you request them. You will normally fill out a preference sheet and pay for this service at base in local currency, or shop for yourselves when you arrive. Fuel and water tanks are full when you embark (make sure you check them), you´ll pay for consumption and need to refill the tanks upon your return.

Is the galley fully equipped?

Our Captain is an excellent chef and will cook for all you.

Anyway, the kitchen on board is equipped with oven, fridge, plates, pans, cutlery and everything you need if you want to prepare meals yourself.

Bedding and towels?

Blankets, bedlinen, bath towels and beach towels are provided, included in the price.

What are all the hidden extras - what will I really end up paying?

The major additional cost beyond the base charter fee will be fuel.

Other charges will be mooring fees if you'll be spending the night in a port and any provisioning you request.

These charges are paid via the APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) system - see below.

What is the APA?

This is the Advance Provisioning Allowance.

The APA essentially creates a bank account for the Captain to provision on your behalf. Key provisioning is fuel, food, drinks and port fees.

35% will be added on to the base charter fee. You will pay this fee, with your final charter payment.

The Captain is obligated to keep all receipts and balance the account for you, and you can check the expenditure level at any time during the charter.

At the end of the charter, the Captain will give you a full account of your expenditures, and any amounts not used will be refunded to you. There are no mark-ups on the APA - all of the funds go directly to buying fuel, food, etc. The APA is a simple and efficient way of getting the boat provisioned properly, with minimal hassle and straightforward record keeping.

I want to embark/disembark at a different port. Is this possible?

Our embark and disembark port is Capo d'Orlando Marina, Sicily.

If you want to embark and/or disembark in a different port (one way itinerary) please ask for extra charge calculation.

Also you might have to disembark one day earlier to provide for the transfer of the yacht back to base

Do I have to charter weekly or is a long weekend possible as well?

In high season, charters are weekly, departing on Saturdays. In low and mid-season you might have the option to book midweek or for a long weekend.

Do I have to tip the captain/crew

Tipping is purely voluntary.

I Have to pay commissions?

No, you rent from the boat owner, directly.

Is a dinghy included?

Our wonderful dinghy (4mt, 40 HP) is always included with no extra costs.
